Persons with Disabilities

Mo McMorrow has five years as a Special Education Life Skills teacher in a Title One Texas school in Austin. (Title One schools are a federally funded program assisting underprivileged children meet state academic standards.)

Mo was responsible for writing and implementing the IEPs (individualized education plans) for over 15 students with down syndrome, developmental delay, prader willi syndrome, autism,  cerebral palsy and tourette syndrome, PTSD, emotional disorder, defiance disorder. She carried out Functional Behavior Assessments then designed and implemented the Behavior Intervention Plan to address the challenging behaviour.

To enhance her ability to advance students’ social emotional understanding Mo undertook in-depth professional development and became certified in Trauma, Autism, Mindfulness and Yoga and trained in behaviour de-escalation techniques.

Add her art, music, and theatre experience to the mix and Mo has a tremendous amount to offer any client.

Aged Care Facilities

Mo is a certified yoga instructor (200 hr) through Breathe for Change and a Chair Yoga instructor.

In aged care facilities she combines chair yoga with interactive music performance to provide a safe yet stimulating form of exercise and enjoyment.
